Plagued with turbulence of the soul
shaken, not sturdy
head clouds and spiritual fog
blind pilot of my own heart
trying to lead my blind passengers
to the light so they can see
but perhaps the most terrifying thing
about being blind
is that you’ll think anything is the light
if you sense a glare or shine
In that case, don’t the embers of fire ignite?
Throwing myself amongst the flames
just so I can say “I’ve found the light”
but what good is the light
if it just ends up burning you?
