I’ve never seen so many butterflies in my life than I have this summer.

Maybe they’ve always swarmed me and now I just happen to notice their graceful presence.

Change. Evolve. Growth. Becoming new. The Gospel manifested through nature…through the life of the butterfly.

Does the caterpillar feel the pain that accompanies becoming a new creature?

At one point during its evolving period, the caterpillar sheds its old skin…dead weight finally actually dying.

The caterpillar dies too, make no mistake about that; it dies to its previous identity. “I’m not what I used to be”—not only do sincere Christians make that declaration, but caterpillars too! In their own way, they’ve been reborn.

Made new. Truly alive. Able to fly because it’s finally free.
